Privacy-First AI-Assisted BI Dashboard
Internal product case studyA browser-first dashboard for importing business files, cleaning and filtering data, building charts and requesting AI-assisted analysis through explicit consent.
The problem
Business users need a quick way to explore spreadsheets and tabular data without automatically sending raw uploaded rows to an AI provider or permanently saving every file.
What was built
- Built browser-memory import, profiling, cleaning, filtering, charting and export workflows.
- Added explicit opt-in before Gemini receives schema, locally computed KPIs and findings; raw uploaded rows are not sent to Gemini.
- Made cloud saving optional for signed-in users, private and time-limited.
- Created repeatable synthetic fixtures and regression checks for import limits, calculations, filters and report behavior.
Verified outcome
The release-candidate evidence records 195 passing local tests. A live synthetic marketing fixture recognized 12 rows and 10 columns, and a June–August filter returned three records whose conversions, revenue and spend matched the source. These are verification results, not a customer-performance claim.
Evidence used for this case study
- Release-candidate verification recorded 195 passing local tests, TypeScript checks and successful production builds.
- The live synthetic marketing fixture recognized one sheet, 12 rows and 10 profiled columns.
- The filtered three-row scope matched source totals: 144 conversions, 23,760 revenue and 3,120 spend.
- The product documentation states that raw uploaded rows are not sent to Gemini.
Evidence note: This is an internal AI Scraping Lab product case study. All published validation numbers come from synthetic test fixtures or the documented regression suite; they do not represent a client's confidential data or commercial results.
